Our training looks at both the educational and the legal
side of serving alcohol.Our Head Instructor has an extensive background in Responsible Alcohol Service. He spent over twelve
years as a local police officer within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This provided a background on the criminal aspect
associated with alcohol service (D.U.I's, Underage Drinking, Public Intoxication). He also has a degree in education and holds
a Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate.
Currently he spends several nights as a bartender and most recently has
been named the Director of Education at the Mixology Wine Institute. His duties include teaching students classes on mixology
as well as the TIPS/ServSafe Alcohol Course and Flair Classes.
At the 2005 Professional Bartending Schools of
America's (PBSA) National Convention held in Key West, FL, he was awarded the Instructor of the Year. Earlier this year at
the Pennsylvania Restaurant Convention in Pittsburgh, he led a workshop titled, "Serving with Style".
